RED HOT Auction and Wine-Tasting
February 11, 2006
LynnArts annual fundraiser, RED HOT, was a terrific success and a truly enjoyable evening for all in attendance. The evening was a celebration of the arts and the artists of the North Shore with 63 artists contributing fabulous works of art in a range of disciplines from painting to sculpture. 17 of these works of art were presented during an exciting live auction. Steven Walsh, Executive Director of LynnArts, was the master of ceremonies and Susan Fader, of Ditto Editions in Marblehead, acted as our auctioneer for the live auction. More than 90 businesses from all over the country donated items, services, tickets and gift certificates, which were available during the silent auction. Cliff Ansara of Lynnway Liquors conducted the wine-tasting segment of the evening while Julio Bare provided a delightful musical background.
Proceeds from the evening help LynnArts to provide exhibition opportunities for artists, theater and music programming for the local and regional community, affordable studio space for individual artists and non-profit arts organizations and low-cost classes for children and adults.
We are grateful to the planning committee, our volunteers, the contributing artists and businesses for their time, creativity and support. We are also grateful to the evening’s sponsors: Farquhar and Black Insurance Company, The Hall Company, Lynn Housing Authority and Neighborhood Development, Lynn Museum and Historical Society, Lynnway Liquors, Paul Stonkus, Project COPE, Rotary Club of Lynn, Wheelabrator of Saugus, Whole Foods of Swampscott, and Willow Laboratory and Medical Center. Our special thanks go to Complete Cleaning and Cliff Ansara.
